The Jersey Journal spoke recently with Gregory Diebold, Director of Litigation at NNJLS, for a story on the growing backlog of cases in tenancy court and the increasing numbers of tenants who need rental assistance -- for whom time is growing short to receive aid. In his comments, Diebold praised the courts for the way they've handled the skyrocketing number of rent cases, but added that things will likely get much worse due to the sheer numbers of cases pending.
“I think we’re providing a good service to a lot of people,” Diebold said, “but there are people who are going to be evicted and end up homeless.”
