Help Someone Stay Safe, Secure, and Heard in the Justice System

Your donation ensures underserved individuals and families in Bergen, Hudson, & Passaic Counties aren’t denied their rights—or their day in court—simply because they can’t afford a lawyer.

Relentlessly Defending Justice for All

Since its founding, Northeast New Jersey Legal Services has worked to ensure that people have equal access to justice. From protecting survivors of abuse to keeping families in their homes, NNJLS provides free legal help to thousands of residents across Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic Counties.  We won’t stop until every person is treated fairly under the law and given a real voice in the legal system.

SAFE

NNJLS attorneys step in when someone’s safety is at risk—securing restraining orders, helping survivors of domestic violence rebuild their lives, and protecting elders from abuse or exploitation.

SECURE

Whether preventing eviction, defending against unlawful debt collection, or fighting for critical benefits, our legal advocacy helps stabilize lives and keep families together.

HEARD

We fight for those who are too often overlooked—so justice is not just promised, but delivered. We give clients the tools they need to move forward—restoring dignity and opportunity.

Thank you so very much for the services you provide. Your office has helped me with a landlord/tenant issue, pro se divorce, and now bankruptcy. Your services are greatly needed in our community.
